40th birthday party

We started earlier in the week with a drinks party for 40 people at the client's home, for which we set up and decorated a bar and served champagne cocktails accompanied by mini burgers and fish 'n' chips. Following this, we organised exclusive use of a château near St Emilion in Bordeaux for 12 people, and we sent a butler and chef who cooked and served for four days. The weekend started with a barbecue on the Friday evening, as guests were arriving. On Saturday morning, the guests awoke to a table fully laid for a five-star breakfast.

We organised a cycling tour of the surrounding vineyards, with lunch at Château La Dominique. Back at the château, afternoon tea was laid out for any guests who felt peckish after their bike ride. Cocktails were mixed by our butler for early evening drinks before the main event: a black-tie dinner party on the Saturday night. Guests commented on the exceptional food and service and how well they had been looked after; and the hostess remarked that, with the pressure off, she could really enjoy quality time with her friends. Everyone agreed the weekend was a total treat.
